For 2023.
A New Year has arrived and we would like to take this opportunity to quickly thank all of our customers for their incredible support during 2022.
Looking ahead to 2023, we’re confident our local popularity and village support will continue to grow. Some of our regulars may have already noticed that our menus have been removed from the website and if you’ve recently contacted us enquiring about dining, then you will already know our Chef has left to explore other opportunities. Chef was influential in our success last year, we thank him for all his help and wish him every success in the future.
We are focused on finding a new incredible Chef, someone who’ll deliver more delicious menus with wonderful ingredients and someone that will be actively involved in the daily routine of the pub, making sure all our customers are well looked after and have the best dining experience.
With January and February being our quiet months, it’s the perfect time for us to re-evaluate our entire kitchen and catering requirements. Our vision is to offer more and expand our menus and our seating times, so it’s imperative we find the right Chef to join our team. We’re focused on this being a real positive change and we hope our customers will support us through these next few months.
It is our aim that The Cock Inn will once more be serving exceptional food by the Spring, so please continue to follow our social media for updates and occasionally click back to our website to check for any other announcements.

“Fab Fresh Food”
“Four of us just had a really lovely dinner at the Cock Inn. A,relatively small menu but that’s because everything is cooked fresh. Lamb and beef cheeks a highlight but to be honest we all four really enjoyed all of our three courses.
Attentive table service from Hannah and nice that Andy (the Landlord) sat with us at the end of our meal and talked about the menu and future plans.

“Lovely Village Pub”
“As we are moving to Hanslope in the next couple of months, we thought we’d try out the local pub. The Cock Inn in Hanslope is a little gem. Immediately we were welcomed by Hannah.
We sat in the front terrace/garden in the sunshine under a parasol. We ordered two roast beef dinners and we were not disappointed. In fact it was delicious and all home cooked, right down to the homemade horseradish sauce.
Table service, lovely attentive staff home cooked food, and a well presented clean pub. What more you could you ask for? We have definitely found our new local, and we look forward to coming back.

“Visiting The Cock inn over Christmas, as a group of 3 Adults, 2 Teenagers and 3 Children we were warmly greeted by Hannah and Angie, who were both very attentive and able to answer any questions we had regarding the menu etc. we couldn’t have asked for a better service. The Menu was Small but offered a great selection of food, with a separate kids menu we all ended up ordering different dishes. The food was AMAZING and even the fussy eaters cleared their plates, which is a rarity for us. The Pub itself, has a real homely, warm feel to it with a great selection of Wines/Beers and Spirits. Thank you to Hannah, Andy and the team for a lovely evening, we will certainly be back soon.”

“What a little gem! And such an asset for the village. We had a great family meal to celebrate a birthday mid week. I always enjoy seeing a smaller menu – you know that the focus is on the quality of the food and that each dish will be done very well, and we weren’t disappointed. The lamb shoulder particularly comes highly recommended – deliciously tender. Fantastic hostess, nothing too much trouble and drinks were regularly topped up. I appreciate that attentiveness. Considering we were midweek, we were also pleasantly surprised by the lively and bustling atmosphere – a thoroughly enjoyable evening and we will definitely be returning!“
